Our values

“Through this website, you will discover our wonderful company and our solutions, which are the result of the values shared by all our teams at Sofinor.

The first is Requirement—what we owe you, what represents the professionals of large-scale kitchens and the out-of-home catering industry, and what defines our DNA, allowing us to offer you the best stainless-steel equipment for your business. This commitment to excellence drives us to honor our promises and to look toward the future as a responsible and innovative player in our industry.

Innovation is a core focus of investment and reflection at Sofinor, pushing us to be pioneers and anticipate our clients’ needs. This commitment is recognized by our peers through prestigious awards at major international trade fairs.

Sofinor is also, above all, about Team Spirit—women and men committed to delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction and building strong, lasting relationships with our partners and users.

Finally, a fundamental value within our company is Pleasure—passion for manufacturing high-quality equipment in France, at our Bois-Grenier factory, passion for being part of the great culinary professions, and passion for celebrating shared successes with our partners, year after year.

With the ambition to always support you better in your profession and help bring your projects to life.”

Our Commitments

to a Responsible and Sustainable Industry

Since the acquisition of Sofinor in 2017, Guillaume Deleau has driven a development strategy based on the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

“This is a PROJECT FOR THE FUTURE, launched so that, on our scale, we can have a POSITIVE IMPACT on ourselves, on others, and on our planet.
Together, we will make a difference.”

To achieve this, we have created a supportive framework that allows our employees to dedicate time to advancing CSR initiatives.
A diverse group of about ten employees forms our CSR Steering Committee, which establishes a structured action plan based on four key commitments. This committee leads the implementation of these initiatives with the help of Sofinor’s volunteer employees.

Today, more than half of our employees are involved in CSR working groups, reflecting the strong integration of CSR within Sofinor.

What is Sofinor’s CSR Project?

Together, we have defined four major commitments that guide our daily actions:

1. Building a responsible business model
We believe in a company that combines performance with sustainability. We are working towards a more circular and functional economic model by optimizing resource use and minimizing waste.

2. Reducing our environmental footprint
We have reduced our energy consumption and are reshaping our energy mix to prioritize renewable sources. We have also cut down on waste production and implemented appropriate recycling and waste management processes. Additionally, we are fortunate to have a natural environment that we strive to protect every day.

3. Promoting a social and attractive industry
Our employees are our greatest asset. We foster a healthy, dynamic, and engaging work environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and well-being.

4. Contributing to local and sectoral development
By opening our doors and sharing our expertise, we contribute to the promotion of our industry and the development of our local community, inspiring future generations to explore careers in manufacturing.

To better understand our approach, please see our press release announcing our Responsability Europe Label by AFNOR Certification.

We are Responsabilty Europe – CSR Label

Why this label?

Valid for three years, the Responsabilty Europe Label from AFNOR Certification is based on the ISO 26000 standard and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It’s a demanding process, with more than 50 evaluation criteria covering social, environmental, and economic performance.

Sofinor earned the label after a three-day on-site audit, during which an independent assessor reviewed objective evidence of our practices.
Interviews were also conducted with 22 employees and 6 external stakeholders (clients, suppliers, institutions, associations).

This first certification marks the start of a continuous improvement journey, with a follow-up evaluation planned within 18 months.

PRODUCT LIFETIME

Stainless steel has an exceptionally long lifetime, often exceeding 50 years, depending on its use and environment.

It has the advantage of being 100% recyclable and benefits from well-organized collection, depollution, and reuse channels.

This allows us to use stainless steel in our production that is made up of 80% recycled material, significantly reducing our environmental impact.

ENERGY OPTIMIZATION

Low-voltage lighting is now standard across all our manufacturing workshops.

Additionally, our workshops are partially heated using energy recovered from machine cooling systems.

Following an energy audit conducted in 2024 and the planned installation of solar panels in 2025, we will reach our goal of covering 50% of our total electricity consumption with self-generated energy by 2026.

LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION

For years, 90% recycled cardboard packaging has replaced plastic packaging for our products.

We optimize packaging to facilitate transport pooling with our logistics partner Heppner, which has long been committed to a strong CSR strategy.

We have also implemented a sustainable travel policy, prioritizing low-emission commercial vehicles and encouraging the use of carbon-offset public transportation.

Through these commitments, we are laying the foundations for a more sustainable,
more human-centered company that is focused on the future.

Our CSR plan and its progress are shared with all employees, who voluntarily participate in the various working groups.

We support associations that help people in need. After a successful toy drive to brighten the daily lives of hospitalized children, we continued our efforts for the Ludopital association by taking part in the Foulées Ludopital charity run.

We open our doors to students, job seekers, and trainees to introduce them to our professions and expertise. And who knows? We might even inspire future careers!
